Kyoung Update: New York, Alaska

Hello friends—

I would like to invite you to an evening of ten-minute plays at New Dramatists including MINA, my new 10-minute play! The evening consists of new works from Asian-American writers that have participated in the Ma-Yi Theatre’s Playwrights’ Lab, hosted by Sung Rno, author of “wAve.”

MINA is the story of a Korean immigrant in Peru that falls in love with a Japanese man; then, tragedy ensues as peoples’ cultures clash. The readings begin at 7 PM on June 24th, at New Dramatists, located at 424 West 44th Street. Playwrights featured include Lloyd Suh, Sung Rno, Nora Chau, Carla Ching, Deborah Craig, Suzanne Lee and Qui Nguyen.

I hope to see you there!

Kyoung

P.S.: I won’t be in the city for the next 10 days. I will be in Valdez, Alaska for the Edward Albee Last Frontier Theatre Conference. ALASKA, woo-hoo!
