Kyoung Update: Seoul, Hanoi, New York, London

Hello all!

I’ve been disconnected from the world for a while. I’ve been writing my thesis and I’m still tweaking and making revisions before submitting it to the publishers. My English teacher in High School used to say writing is re-writing. Writing my thesis I’ve realized writing is painstakingly so.

Then again, I’m very excited to be done with my program in Peace Studies. I’ve been offered several jobs in Korea and been accepted to Master’s and PhD programs both in New York and London. I’ve been considering what’s the best choice for me after school, but all in all, it seems I would greatly benefit from some time off and do a little bit of creative writing.

I’ll be travelling for the next couple of months, so if I’m around where you are, make sure to email me so we can meet. Living in the Korean country has been great, but I’ve been greatly distanced from my friends.

Here’s where I’ll be for the summer/fall 2007:

FOR LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND PEACE ADVOCACY FOR GLOBAL COOPERATION SOCIETY (GSC)
-HANOI, VIETNAM: June 18th-22nd

TO VISIT FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND GRADUATION
-SEOUL, KOREA: June 23rd-July 5th
-NEW YORK, USA: July 5th-July 9th
-SANTIAGO, CHILE: July 10th-July 19th
-SEOUL, KOREA: July 20th-Late September

FOR THE ROYAL COURT THEATER’S YOUNG WRITER’S PROGRAMME
-LONDON, UK: October – Mid December

I’ll be returning to Korea after my travels. I’ve had a great time in school and definitely look forward to living in Asia for some more time.

Peace,

Kyoung H. Park
